I worked on a first typical example and converted it from sp to preferences because my impression is that's the way you want to go. However, in the unit test scenario I get preferences not intialized for the DoAction case. The example is in 020ae33

With my limited knowledge of Kotlin I am stuck and did not have the time yet to look at your sprefactor branch for potential examples.
